The Col d'Aubisque, a key stage in the mountain pass route

The Col d'Aubisque dominates the resort of Gourette. From its 1709 meters, you will have a breathtaking view of the Cirque de Gourette.
Located between the Col de Marie Blanque and the Col du Soulor, it is the crossing point between the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region and Occitanie. 
As such, it is part of the tourist route of the Cols road linking the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean.

The ascent of Aubisque: the challenge of cycling enthusiasts

If you are passionate about bikes and races, the name Aubisque is already familiar to you.
Mythical stage of the Tour de France, the pass is a must for cyclists.
The Tour de France is not the only race to pass through this pass. Indeed, the Tour of Spain, the Vuelta, also passes there regularly.
For this reason, every year, many people challenge themselves to climb the pass by bike!

In summer, the privileged place of nature sports

Enjoy the 360° panoramic view of the listed circus of Gourette and Litor.
In summer, the Col d'Aubisque is the starting point for many hikes and trails. The routes that cross it are accessible for different levels.
For beginners, the Sum de Grum, a balcony hike with low elevation, is the best way to soak up the grandiose landscapes without difficulty.

In winter, snow covers leol with a beautiful white blanket.
It then becomes a place of wild beauty and offers a breathtaking panorama of the ski resort of Gourette.
For hiking enthusiasts, you can put on snowshoes and walk the pass feet in the snow!

Namely: 

Because of its altitude and therefore its snow, the Aubisque pass is generally closed from mid-November to May.
Vehicles over 3.5 tons and over 3.60 m high are prohibited for the crossing of the Col d'Aubisque - Soulor. 
Traffic rules for vehicles over 3 tonnes and motorhomes, transit time: 
Sens Soulor-Aubisque from 6 am to 1 pm
Sens Aubisque-Soulor from 1pm to 8pm
